Surgipharma was founded in July of 2000. Two months after, even though the main office was the founder’s house, the company rented a small 32 square meters warehouse to store the first batch of products. Today, Surgipharma has more than 1000 square meters worth of warehouse space distributed between two warehouses in key locations across the country.
Surgipharma’s strategy at the time was to focus on three basic principles: find proven high-quality products that could be sold at competitive prices; create a simple business structure that didn’t affect the initial cash flow of the company; and constantly search for high-quality distributors that would give Surgipharma an edge on the Panamanian market.
The expectations for the next five years point towards being the lead distributor in Panama by selling highly specialized products; continuing to sell high volume disposable products; and developing an even better strategy to start selling in more countries in the Caribbean, Latin America, and South America. This operation will allow the company to offer the best customer service to clients in the Western Hemisphere that require logistics support and service as required by the competitive health industry.
